Through vivid color, fractured forms, and dreamlike compositions, Hide and Seek maps a restless, intimate journey of self-discovery. Since the start of 2025, I've been exploring through paint the delicate balance of vulnerability, self-protection, and the transformative power of artistic creation. This work moves through themes of girlhood, memory, creativity, and identity. It confronts the constant cycles of growth, death, and rebirth that shape becoming. Each piece holds the emotional terrain of growing up: tender, charged, and shifting.
Pulling from personal history, internet fragments, spiritual symbols, and the weight of art history, I use abstraction and figuration to question the stories we tell ourselves.
At its core, Hide and Seek reflects on the paradox of being seen—the dance between the parts of ourselves that seek freedom and the parts that retreat. In these paintings the urge to disappear meets the call to confront. It’s a tension between concealment and revelation, hiding and showing, safety and risk. If you’ve ever felt torn between hiding and becoming—this is for you.
